social media a threat to real life

people are quite active in social media., and  do the same with Instagram. their mobile data is left on most of the time they  text almost the whole day, and that’s a lot of words. But, they are different in real life . some are  talkative only when they are  excited or high on happiness. if someone is talkative It’s not important they would be active on fields, their stamina must be very less or their agility would be null their are many possibilities but most of the time it is because they focus more on social media .
You see, the thing with social media (or writing or texting) is that you don’t face people. You have time to think about what you’re gonna say. You can type something out, erase it, and edit it if it doesn’t sound okay in your head. Throw in some emoticons and you’re good to go. It isn’t the same in life . You usually won’t have much time to think about your reply. You have to use the proper tone, your posture should be appropriate, and you have to pay attention to so many things like these. Silence is fine virtually, but in person, it gets awkward if they aren’t used to it. Very few people are comfortable with silence, even in person.Image result for social media a threat for real life
people prefer communicating with people through social media. they  don’t have to wait for someone to rescue them  if they are  caught by someone they are not interested in talking to they  can just stop texting back. they  start conversations only with people they are  comfortable with. They won’t mind the silence because they  enjoy each others’ presence.
specially in teenagers as they come from  colleges or school they immediately open their instagram or snapchat and view the latest updates. earlier kids went to play in their free time.

if people would do physical fitness they would have benefits as follows

  • they would have a maintained wait
  • look smart
  • free from many diseases
  • etc

through this blog i am trying to generate a message that people should spare more time for physical fitness than socializing.

teens trading sleep for smartphone time

Teenagers are increasingly depriving themselves of sleep, and instead spending more time on  their smart phones or other devices , say scientist.who found their teens sleep fewer hours per night than that of the older generations. most sleep experts agree that adolescents need nine hours of sleep each night to be engaged and productive students ; less than seven hours is considered to be insufficient sleep. researchers from San  Diego  state university and Iowa state university in the us examined data of more than 360,000 us school students who took part in a survey.
the study published in the journal sleep medicine found that about 40%of adolescents in 2015 slept less than 7 hours a night which is 58 %more than in 1991 and 17% more than in 2009. delving further into the data, researchers learned that the more time young people reported spending online , the less they got.
teens who spent hours a day online were 50% more likely to not to sleep enough than their peers who spent only 1 hour online each day . not only while sleeping but researchers say that the light waves by smart phones and tablets can interfere the body`s natural sleep wake rhythm.students might compensate for that lack of sleep by dozing off during daytime hours.
our body is going to try to meet its sleeps needs , which means sleep is going to interfere or shove its nose in other spheres of lives.
sleep is important for our body`s both mental and physical piece......

information about countries on drug trafficking

Pakistan

If there’s anything more ubiquitous than trafficking networks in Pakistan, it’s the consumption of the heroin itself—estimates of more than half-a-million users go through $1.2 billion of product a year. Locals of Pakistan’s largest metropolitan city Karachi say the drug is cheaper than food.  According to the national media, customs officials seized a grand total of 1 tonne of product in 2011, despite 260 tonnes entering through the north-west border alone.

Afghanistan

Afghanistan today is undoubtedly the focal point of the trade. Local farmers, traffickers and governing forces are strongly tied to the trade, with the Taliban there pulling in an estimated 155 million USD in 2009, according to the UNODC. Drug traffickers earned 2.2 billion USD, while farmers took home a combined 440 million USD. In fact, production in Afghanistan has even surpassed demand – creating huge stocks of opium and morphine. There are also numerous heroin labs in the country – 300-500, according to the UNODC. They collectively put out up to 400 tons of heroin annually, and operate in less policed regions of the state.
The European market for Afghan produce is the largest; an estimated 150 tons of Afghan heroin were consumed in Europe in 2009. The East Asian and Southeast Asian markets are also becoming more prominent consumers of Afghan heroin, especially given the decline of local opium production there. The rise of the African region as a trafficking route is also making the area a greater destination.

Southeast Asia

While Afghanistan is indisputably the major region of concern in the opiate trade, the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Southeast Asia (broadly, at the convergence of the borders of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand) remains a significant factor in the market. Today, the bulk of opium production in the region comes from Myanmar (specifically, Shan state) and Laos; combined, they amounted to an estimated 63,800 hectares of cultivation area and produced about 762 tons of opium in 2014. Heroin is the ‘primary drug of concern’ in various parts of the region, including Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam, according to the UNODC, as well as a significant problem in other states like Indonesia and Australia.

Latin America

Cocaine trafficking in this region led to strict policies against possession and trade of any drugs. This has been implemented through border control and several military operations. Drug trafficking in this region has most commonly led to many social and economic problems, which must also be considered; for example, there is an estimated of 300,000 refugees in Ecuador, from Colombia, because of the violence associated with the illicit trafficking. The governments of this region often face hard violence associated with the crime organizations, so a main goal is clearly to fight these organizations with force. In addition, drug trafficking in Latin American countries is commonly bound to other illegal activities such as illegal mining.

Mexico

Mexico as one of the major countries in the world with a drug trafficking problem, has established a frontal opposition against DTOs called “cartels”, they support and work besides the USA’s position. Because drug trafficking is a major problem there, almost all countries in Central America and the Caribbean, are main allies of the USA in the region. They prefer to support the position of the USA without an independent perspective. Cuba on the other hand, has a similar position in the topic as the Russian Federation.

in my next blog i will write on an entirely new topic

drug trafficking and its control programs

drug trafficking

what is drug trafficking? so basically drug trafficking is a global illicit trade involving the cultivation, manufacture, distribution and sale of substances which are subject to drug prohibition laws.

programs to control drug trafficking

  • airport communication program
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) have joined forces along with twenty-four countries in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean in the design and execution of the Airport Communication Programme (AIRCOP) in 2010 .  Its overall objective is to break the network of import and export of drug trafficking through various positive methods. Operational units working at airports in source, transit and destination countries are connected to each other via a secure communication network, which is hosted by the World Customs Organization (WCO).

  • Narcotic Drugs and to the International Narcotics Control Board
The Commission on Narcotic Drugs, composed of 53 Member States elected by the Economic and Social Council for a four-year term, is the central policy-making body with regard to drug-related matters, including the monitoring of the global trends of illicit drug trafficking and abuse.

The International Narcotics Control Board is a permanent and independent body, consisting of 13 members, who are elected for a five-year term by the Economic and Social Council on the basis of their competence and serve in their personal capacity. It administers the statistical control of drugs on the basis of data supplied by Governments and assesses world requirements of licit drugs with a view to the adaptation of production to those requirements. It gathers information on illicit trafficking, and submits an annual report on developments in the world situation to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs and to the Economic and Social Council.
UNODC has an important role in assisting these bodies in performing their treaty-based functions, and in assisting States Parties in the implementation of their obligations under the international drug control treaties.
